[Plans, elevations and sections of Holkham in Norfolk. 1761. Another edition]
The plans, elevations and sections, of Holkham in Norfolk, the seat of the late Earl of Leicester. By Matthew Brettingham.
London (Place), printed by J. Haberkorn, printer,, 1761.
[6] p., 33 [i.e. 27] pl. (7 double-page) ; 51.1 cm. (2º)

Another edition; first edition also 1761 (q.v.). With a different setting of the title-page (distinguishable by the word 'Earl' being set in upper- and lower-case, and the author's name being in smaller type) and the preface (distinguishable by a tail-piece composed of printer's flowers measuring 4.0 x 6.2 cm. and with the penultimate line reading 'engraved' rather than 'engraven'). The present copy retains the dedication to the Duke of Cumberland in the original setting as before, which seems to have been suppressed in some copies of this edition (see BAL 372, notes) possibly as a consequence of the dedicatee's death on 31 October 1765. Plates irregularly numbered 1--33; of the seven double-page plates five are assigned two numbers each, and pl. [30] is unnumbered and bears two impressions. With the plates printed in bistre.
