French original first published in 1672 and an edition printed 'à Londres' [i.e. Amsterdam] was published in 1703. J.T. Philipps' edition was first published in 1721. With an additional title-page with short title omitting all from '... Languages.' to 'By J.T. Philipps.' and an engraved vignette. Page 238 misnumbered '283'. ESTC n4735.

Copy Notes Booksellers' hieroglyphics in ink and pencil on front pastedown and free-endpaper. Inscribed in pencil Scarce =s5=6d probably by the bookseller Thomas Boone.

Binding C18th mottled calf, gilt double-ruled borders, gilt-tooled spine, without spine-label or title.
