Copy Notes Copy 1: Extensive markings and prices in pencil in the section devoted to books, lots 1--42. Bound in a collection of sale catalogues.
Copy 2: Unannotated. With an undated ALs in ink from Rich: Westmacott attached to the final blank leaf, presenting Soane with a copy of the catalogue in case/ Mr Christie should not/ have done so and drawing his attention to a few curious/ intaglio[s?]. Two works by the sculptor Sir Richard Westmacott are in the Soane Museum: a bust of Chambers and the statue of the Nymph that gives its name to the Nymph's Recess. Bound in a collection of sale catalogues of 'Articles Of Virtu', 1798 to 1832.
