Catalogue of a sale of Cosway's old master paintings organised by Messrs. Hammersley and Co., Bankers, Pall Mall, on the occasion of his removal from Schomberg House to 22 Stratford Place, Oxford Street. There was a further auction of Cosway's art collections by James Christie in March 1792. The final leaf is blank. ESTC n70982.

Copy Notes The Soane copy is without the initial leaf recorded in ESTC and the above collation. Items annotated in ink indicating those sold to Lord Dudley. Tipped in before the title-page is a list of items Sold to Lord Dudley and Ward for a total of £360.

Binding Late C18th half red calf, blind double-rule borders, marbled-paper boards, gilt-ruled spine, gilt-lettered. Later numbered '47' in a series of sale catalogue volumes.
