[London]: printed by C. Mercier and Co. No. 6, Northumberland-Court, Strand, [1804].
[2] p. ; 36.8 (2º)

Single sheet, verso blank. Watermarked '1803'. Text records that 'The owner, who is in his 64th year, proposes to sell this estate' and to secure an annuity from the proceeds. The owner was Major John Cartwright who had acquired the estate in 1788 aged 48 for £20,000; it would appear that there was no sale at this time, as Cartwright moved to Enfield in 1805 and let the estate until its sale to Henry Gee in 1813. Cartwright was well-known as a political reformer and inventor. See B. Brammer, Holland Fen with Brothertoft, a parish history (Boston, 2000), pp. 15--19.

Copy Notes Calculations and insertions in the text in ink. Bound (19) in a collection of estate particulars.

Binding Later C19th marbled-paper boards, ribbed morocco-grain cloth spine gilt-lettered 'Sale Catalogues'. 37.6 cm. Later numbered '48' in a series of sale catalogue volumes.

Reference Number 5088
