With a half-title giving the price as '2s.' and an author's advertisement leaf bound to face the title-page (recto blank). The first edition is not traced. Author's advertisement indicates that 'the three first Stories' in No. I have been added since the last sheet went to press, that No. 2 is 'now in press' and that Nos. 3 and 4 'to be published immediately' will complete the first volume of the work. The cost of each number is 2s. Includes a list of patrons, patronesses, and subscribers, with an additional list of additional names in ink tipped in. The plates are engraved titles for two of the stories.

Copy Notes Bound after Gascoigne's Path to naval fame, 2nd ed., 1825 (q.v.).

Binding C19th half calf, marbled-paper boards, gilt double-ruled spine, gilt-lettered 'Naval Fame &c.'. Numbered '66' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
