Printed in Paris by Crapelet (see colophon, pp. 68--69). With a parallel title-page in Italian reading Raccolta dei disegni di diverse fabbriche costrutte in Pietroburgo, e nell'interno dell'impero russo da Luigi Rusca, ... and with parallel texts in Italian and French on facing pages (Italian on the versos, French on the rectos); in many copies the French or Italian title-leaf was removed according to the owner's linguistic preference, but both are present in the Soane copy. Two parts in one, each with fly-titles in Italian and French, with continuous pagination. The 180 engraved plates are divided into nine separately-numbered series lettered A--I, containing between five and sixty-four plates each. There are letterpress descriptions of the plates in each section in two parts, the first part describing sections A--G (pp. [18]--49) and the second, sections H--I (pp. [56]--69). The Swiss-born neo-classical architect Luigi Rusca worked in Russia for Catherine the Great, Paul I, and Alexander I between 1792 and 1818. BAL, Early printed books, no. 4102.
