Folded half-sheet, conjugate leaf blank. Drop-head title. Signed by 'William Tooke, 12 Russell Square, 10th Dec. 1829'. An appeal against the recourse to legislation of the Joint Vestry and their 'elaborate pamphlet issued in their defence' currently in circulation. Tooke favoured the more measured approach recently embodied in new legislation regulating the affairs of the United Parishes of St. Andrew, Holborn and St. George The Martyr, and recommended the same recourse for the reconciliation of parish affairs. Tooke was a member of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce.
