Drop-head title. Docket title. Sandford and Forbes had taken over the running of the Institution from John Gilchrist (1759--1841) in 1826 and their report includes a list of those in the East India Civil Service who had passed the London Board of Examiners in the period since 1826-27, amongst whom is Edward Chamier, of the Concan, who was the younger brother of the Frederick Chamier who had married Soane's grand-daughter Elizabeth in 1832.
