Folded half-sheet, first verso and conjugate leaf blank. Drop-head title. A letter to shareholders addressed in ink Sir and signed C.W. Ward, 'Secretary', dated 'Treasury Office, Drury Lane, May 4, 1812'. Soane had subscribed for five shares which he sought to withdraw in late October 1811, but was evidently dissuaded or unsuccessful in so doing. (Priv. Corr. VII.K.2--4).

Copy Notes Previously folded and addressed in ink as a letter to J. Soane Esq / Lincoln's Inn Fields.
