Drop-head title. Responding to Anno 5-6, William and Mary, cap. 20, An Act for granting to Their Majesties several rates and duties ... (q.v.). The title refers to the draft of the Charter i.e. The Charter of the Bank of England of 27 July, 1694 (a printed 'Copy' of which is at AL 49A, q.v.). Includes The commission for taking subscriptions for 1200000 l. pursuant to the act of Parliament with caption title and separate pagination. Wing S848; ESTC r214945; Goldsmiths' 3028.
