Folded half-sheet, first verso and conjugate leaf blank. Drop-head title. Refers to Holmes's works in improving his 'Metallic Hot-Houses' and his mode of heating public and private buildings, naming places where specimens may be seen.

Copy Notes ALs in ink inscribed on blank p. [3] from W:D: Holmes dated December 13. 1832 concerned with an appointment he wanted to arrange with Soane and his friend Colonel [unread, obscured by seal] and the Commissioners of Woods and Forests in regards to hot water services in the new State paper office. Previously folded as a letter addressed in ink To Sir John Soane / &c &c &c / Lincoln's Inn Fields.
