A portfolio containing 49 loose hand-coloured etched caricature prints dated between 1815 and 1831 (mostly between 1829 and 1831). Includes 'Nashional Taste!!!', the famous caricature of John Nash impaled upon the spire of All Saints, Langham Place dated 7 April 1824 and signed 'Q in the Corner', i.e. George Cruikshank, although a pencilled note on the present copy suggests a possible alternative attribution of this plate to Ambrose Poynter (1796--1886). Copy Notes The portfolio is inscribed in pencil 47 prints; in ink I make 48. George H. Birch 1895; in pencil So do I WL Spiers 22.8.04.
