Anonymous. ESTC and Bibliothèque Nationale give the author as Lefèvre de Morsan (see Barbier III, 324); Durham University Library refers to an annotation attributing the work to the Abbé de Mably (whose Observations sur les Romains first appeared in English translation in 1751). This translation is based on the 1739 Paris edition revised and corrected by François Granet. ESTC t172578.

Binding C18th calf, gilt double-ruled borders and spine, red morocco spine-label reading 'Roman History'.
