Soane was elected to the vestry of the parish of St Giles-in-the-Fields on 11 February 1802. The north-east district, bounded by Great Russell Street, George Street, Broad Street St Giles and Tottenham Court Road, contained areas of great deprivation including many Irish labourers with no claim to parochial relief. The period covered by this report included an outbreak of cholera in spring 1832.

Copy Notes Bound (5) in a collection of 14 pamphlets. Traces of original green paper wrappers. Proof correction in ink on p. 14.

Binding C20th maroon morocco-grained book cloth, spine gilt-lettered 'S. Giles's Parish'.
