An adaptation of Georges Boissaye Du Bocage's Le petit flambeau de la mer by William Faden 'Geographer to His Majesty'. The illustrations consist of 39 maps and 3 plates of coastal profiles; the plates are engraved by R. Baker, E. Bourne, T. Foot, S. Neele, and W. Palmer.With an index. ESTC t96575.

Copy Notes Bought from Faden for £1 6s. on 5 February 1795. (Jnl 3, p. 33). Inscribed on title-page in ink John Soane, 1795.

Binding C19th half calf, marbled-paper boards, gilt-ruled spine, red morocco spine-label reading 'French Coasting Pilot'. Bound by Edwin Hutchinson for 4s. 9d., 5 December 1829. (Archive 7/10/17).
